ONLY 9 people needed! Is this you? Fairtrade Football exclusive
A social enterprise with the mission statement: empowering people to take their own little steps to change the world; need your help!
Who are fairandfunky?
Based in Yorkshire, fairandfunky are a Community Interest Company, running creative and interactive workshops on Fairtrade, recycling and the environment. They run loads of projects in schools to encourage students (and their teachers) to think about the world around them and take action to make a positive difference – locally and globally.
Why do fairandfunky need my help?
Working with Bala Sports (photo credit left), fairandfunky have the opportunity for these brilliant Fairtrade footballs to be made in Pakistan – an order that will change the world for workers in the factory and their families. To meet the Fairtrade workers in Pakistan and discover more about the difference Fairtrade makes to them and their families please read the Bala Sport Guest Blog
fairandfunky need 50 people to pre-order an exclusive limited edition Fairtrade football to make this possible.
What difference will a football make?
Making an order for Fairtrade footballs makes a huge difference to the lives of workers in Pakistan. With extra Fairtrade premiums workers can continue to invest in healthcare programmes, and ensure fair pay and working conditions. Increased Fairtrade sales, increases demand, and in turn will lead to increased employment opportunities.
It will make a difference in the UK too – the income fairandfunky raise from 50 orders will be used to deliver ‘Let’s Play Fair!’ workshops – empowering young people with the knowledge that their actions can change the world.
But I don’t need a football?
If you’d like to support this project but don’t want the football – you can! You could buy the football for your local school, or you could donate the football to fairandfunky to use in their workshops. Email Helen@fairandfunky.com to find out more!
