Oh we are LOVING a bit of baking at the moment, so we thought you might like to join in with this week’s #sgiew theme to join in with is “BISCUIT” – some comfort in this the first week of summer, yet we’re wearing wellies and grumbling about the clouds…

Join in by following your hosts, @incredibusy, @redtedart and @willowdaygram – and we’re delighted to welcome an old friend to be our guest judge – Nikki McWilliams!

I’ve been following Nikki’s career for a few years now, and love what she does – she’s a delightful person as well as an amazing creative, and for those of you who would like to know more, we asked Nikki a few questions!
Q: Nikki  – tell us about yourself?
Nikki: Hi, well, I’m Creative Director, Founder and Chief Biscuit Sampler at Nikki McWilliams Ltd.
Q: What’s your background?
Nikki: I studied Fine Art at Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, before going on to create my own homeware and accessories label in 2009.
From making key rings to sell to class-mates to co-founding a series of hand-made markets; I have always had a passion for creative business and aspired to be my own boss from a young age.
NikkiMcWilliams PinsQ: Where are you based?
Nikki:
I currently live and work in Central Scotland.
Q: Nikki  – tell us about the range?

The designs are inspired by a love of British culture, contemporary Pop-Art and my fascination with the ritual of the Tea Break.
Always a little nostalgic, my work has been described as bright and playful with an attention to detail that’s made to last.
Q: Where do you manufacture?
The homeware range is made from start to finish in the UK and is currently stocked in over 60 stockists in Great Britain, as well as exclusively online at www.nikkimcwilliams.com.
If you would like to join in this week with the instagram #sgiew (so good in every way) challenge, use the hashtags #sgiew and #sgiew_biscuit on your tea break shots, and Nikki will be selecting her favourite x9 shots next weekend – and we have a TeaPigs prize too, more on that later in the week, have fun!
