As a conscious consumer, I am always on the look out for a good source of ethical gifts.
To stumble across uncommongoods has been quite a delight, and I’ve spent a good hour browsing the selection here of gifts suitable for my Husband and Brother in Law, who really do genuinely receive organic cotton socks and cheeseboards, hand carved by a local artist… every year at Christmas!
Both of them play the guitar, and are forever losing their plectrums, so to find that there is actually a hole punch for making your own guitar picks here – is a revelation – and of course, even better than that, what a fab way to upcycle an old library card, or credit card for that matter! Inspired…
As a family, we travel a lot, we take a tent camping every year to mainland Europe… and drive up and down the country whether to visit my family in Wales, or up North to see the inlaws, we are often chucking a bag together at the last minute. So how lovely that the gifts for men section of uncommongoods stocks a washbag which suits these needs (the need for me to stop going camping in a tent, and find a nice eco lodge somewhere?!) – how about recycling a tent? Upcycled tent fabric has been used to make up these fab washbags here, in fact, I think I’ll get one for each of us!
I don’t know about gifts for dad… here to find this amazing key hiding rock is a complete gem! With my son now at secondary school, I really don’t want to trust him with a front door key, and am a little bored of waiting for him to come home from school so that I can go and collect my youngest from infants… Another genius idea from uncommongoods is this fab key-safe disguised as a rock www.uncommongoods.com/product/key-hiding-rock – just watch the video here>>
